Asset managers are frequently paid on commission based on the size of the financial portfolio. For small accounts under $10 million, it will be around 1% or a fraction of 1%. For very large portfolios or trusts, it will be a fraction close to 1/10th of 1%, but this amount will be for several hundred thousand dollars.
