You must know the year and engine type for the correct timing for the Jaguar. Purchase a haynes manaul or performa google search on how to locate the correct timing. I would also recommend taking the vehicle to an authorized dealer.

This is a loaded question. Assuming you're talking about engine timing, it varies depending on what kind of engine you have whether it's a 3.4 L or a v6 or higher. In general if you car is exceeding 2000 RPM after the first gear shift you've got a problem and should consult a mechanic.

Without knowing what, year, model, or engine I can't say exactly. With more information I could find out the approxiamte degrees of timing. Some older vehicles will have a sticker with emission info that will give you the timing otherwise look online or in a repair manual.

The best way to adjust timing on any car or truck would be using a timing light, they will show you when it is in proper rotation. As far as a direct timing open up the case, and it will be marked.
