Incase of anterior cross bite involving a single tooth you could use an icecream stick to push the tooth out of the cross bite. Incase of posterior cross bite or anterior cross bite involving many teeth you would have to go in for a removal appliance or go in for extraction.

Depending on how bad the cross bite is, this can be corrected with a dental or if it is very severe, a jaw operation. The former is very traumatic and the consequences should be examined thoroughly. Many people suffer no ill effects from mild cross bites.

Usually a cross bite can be corrected by braces. A palate expander may also be needed if your child's teethe are crowded.

Correcting cross bite is usually pretty easy. It can be corrected with braces. Try a consultation with an orthodontist and they will be your best bet.

I had a cross bite when I was young and my parents were told that the only way to fix it was to break my jaw and fix it with surgery, they never did it and my teeth have transferred themselves back to the way that they were supposed to.
