Watch what you eat and exercise. Become familiar with how many calories foods have. You have to stay within your recommended caloric intake of fats, carbs , and proteins while getting vitamins and minerals. Also, exercise! Do both cardio (fat-burning) as well as strength-building exercise.

Most effective weight loss program: Early morning jogging. Avoid oily, milk products. Take wheat products and low carbohydrate foods. Time gap between food intake and getting into bed should be atleast 1.5 hours.

I personally have had good success with Weight Watchers point system. They assign points to foods and give you a limit to how many points you can eat, while encouraging you to eat plenty of fiber and protein, so you don't feel deprived of the foods you love, as long as you can fit in the foods you need.
