The most common is Amoxicillan, but veterinarians also use Cephalexin, Enrofloxacin, Sulfadimethoxine, and Tetracycline. Antibiotics are the number one form of medication for cats. These antibiotics are not always interchangeable, so it is a good thing that currently our veterinarians have several different antibiotics to choose from.
