According to Wikipedia the lowest temperature ever recorded on earth was recorded at the Vostok Station in the Antarctic. It was recorded at −89.2 °C or −128.6 °f. Vostok is about 1,300 km or or 807 miles away from the South Geographic Pole and near the near the Southern Pole of Inaccessibility.
