The world began with mother Earth & the sky above her. They joined to create their sons & daughters, the Titans. One of these was Saturn-the father of Zeus, Posideon, Hades, Hera, Hephesta and Demeter. All of the children were eaten except Zeus. Zeus tricked Saturn and became king of the heavens as was foretold.

Titans were the firstborns, children of Uranus and Gaea, among them Cronus, Prometheus and Atlas. Zeus was the son of Cronus. When the Titans revolted against the Olympians, they lost and were thrown into Tartarus, defeating Cronus' golden age in which gods and humans lived amicably and entering the era of Zeus' Olympians, superior and ruling over humanity.
