What is the difference in buying department store and drugstore makeup?

Drugstore makeup is makeup you can purchase from stores like Target, Walmart, RiteAid, Walgreens, etc. It is substantially cheaper and for that reason some think it is less quality. Department store makeup includes brands like Clinique, Mac, and Benefit. Some think this makeup is higher quality. It is much more expensive.

Alot of people think that buying their makeup from stores like Dillards or Macy's makes a big difference but really, with the economy like it is, its better for your wallet just to buy from Wal-mart. There's no difference really, other than name brands and price. Why pay more?

Department store makeup's higher quality and more expensive. Department store foundation matches your skin exactly but for black eyeliner it's fine to go with the cheaper choice.

Department store make is, generally, a better brand of makeup due to the ingredients used to make it. It is less oily and will stay on your face longer. Your skin is less likely to break out and your make up won't have to be reapplied during the day because of it sweating off.
