What is the difference between cooking and baking?

My mom says she loves cooking and hates baking.

Baking is the process where the dish being prepared is brought to temperature inside an oven. Baking often involves precise measurements to ensure the proper rising of breads and proofing of pastries. Cooking can been seen as a looser form of compiling a dish finished on top of a range.

Cooking usually involves using pans, grills, or deep frying, in order to make foods like bacon & eggs, pancakes, gravies, hamburgers, steaks, fish, french fries, etc. while baking usually involves the use of an oven in order to make foods like breads, brownies, cakes, muffins, etc. Basically, cooking involves the use of a stove-top, while baking employs an oven.

There is a big difference between cooking and baking. They have different procedures. Cooking is usually use cooking utensils, fry pan, casserole and wok. Cooking is done with the use of fire and stove. While baking, you need a muffin pan, mold and mixer. And baking is done with right temperature of baking oven.
