Concept cars are hand-built cars made to show of potential design ideas. Some don't make it into production whereas others like the Camaro do with some changes of course.

Concept cars are one-off vehicles built by manufacturers to demonstrate new advances in technology, upcoming designs, new engines, and generally just to show off a bit. Concept cars rarely go into production as-is. Instead, elements present in concept cars find their way into next-generation cars. So a future Camaro may have some things in common with a concept car.
