That not everyone matches even after having had a friendship or relationship for some time. And, that realizing that and breaking off with someone (friend or otherwise) isn't an exercise in defeat or being mean but actually an exercise of wisdom.

Not to take things too seriously. Not to take opinions of others hurt you. Live your own life for which you alone are uniquely qualified to live.

That try as you might you can't control the direction your life takes. You can do everything right or wrong, and things can turn out in the opposite. Giving up those expectations of control can be liberating and allow for a fuller life.

Don't know if this was _the_ biggest but it was a very eye opening one: that I don't have to honestly and relatively thoroughly answer everything I'm asked. That I can use humor to avoid answering questions that are too personal or I am otherwise uncomfortable answering.

I was a sinner and without accepting Jesus before I died, I'd die in my sins. Sending me to Hell forever without Jesus. So the Holy Spirit spoke to me, I ask Jesus into my heart and at that moment I realized I would live forever with Him.

My biggest life lesson so far has been that the ultimate goal of life seems to rest on knowing and not shying away from who you are and acting accordingly. The sooner the better.
