What is the best type of Parrot pellets?

I prefer the Kaytee brand parrot pellets, because they are nutritionally complete and provide birds with all of the essential vitamins and minerals required for a healthy avian diet. My own birds have eaten these for years and they have always maintained healthy coloration and had very few illnesses while on this parrot diet.

All breeds of parrots have different nutritional needs; do some research to find out what your bird requires. Harrison's is famous for being one of the best, but be sure whatever you buy has no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. If you're still not sure consult an avian veterinarian.

Best thing is to choose one that has no artificial coloring or flavors. Good examples are Zupreem, Harrison's and Pretty Bird. But remember, your parrot also needs veggies and fruits.
