The best schedule is one that works for your body and your baby. But, if I had to pick something spefic I would say every two to three hours would be a good schedule.

Depending on how old your baby is, you will want to breastfeed every 3-4 hours. If you have to pump to supplement, or are pumping exclusively, try to pump when your baby eats to keep you breasts full.

When you are breastfeeding and pumping it is wise to pump every time you breast feed or would breast feed. This will help to ensure that your milk is ample enough to support the child or children. For a new born they will eat on average every three to four hours.
