What is the best brand of 42-inch plasma?

I would go with toshiba it is a well known brand with as far as i know,no defects or issues,I have never had any issues with that brand,or any issues contacting the comapany.My questions have always been fully answered.The picture is always clear and the quality is amazing

I'd go with a SONY. The definition is crystal clear . I've had mine for about five years and it has no working problems so far. My friend bought a Samsung and it also worked pretty good for her. They are all equally good but I love my Sony.
