The best crib for a baby would not have bars that are 2-3 inches apart or have any lead based paint. I suggest going to a store and buying new.

The best baby crib is something that convert into a toddler bed later on.Also it has to have drop down sides so that the crib can grow with the baby.

There is a crib called The DaVinci Kalani Convertible Crib, and it is the best crib because it is made out of strong wood, the mattress is soft, and when the child gets older it turns into a daybed and the sides turn into bed posts for adulthood.

I personally like the brands that are carried at Babies R Us. I think they are good quality but they are a bit expensive.
