It varies according to maturity, but I would not recommend marrying before (1) one is legally an adult; and/or (2) before one is able to take responsibility for one's own actions. One should also be gainfully employed and financially independent. It's impossible to specify a definite age, because some 40-year-olds are dependent upon their parents (and should not marry).

The best age for marriage really depends on the maturity age of the people involved, not their physical ages. If the 2 people are not mature enough to handle the marriage, it will not last. It is important that each have a maturity level high enough to deal with the problem that can, and will, arise during the marriage.

The man should be in his 30's and the woman should be in her late 20's. The early years should have been used for learning lesson's from life, deciding what you want in a mate, and to have gained wisdom that will be valuable in the future.

The best age for marriage is dependent upon the person. It depends on when they are ready to take on responsibility and partnership of marriage. Other factors to consider are if your significant other is ready also and if you both want to have children. This all plays a part.
