Simvastatin is used to lower cholesterol. It is commonly used in patients with high cholesterol, those at high risk for stroke, and patients who have artificial valves or stents. I would be concerned about your husband and the health condition he may be suffering from.

Simvastatin is a medication for cholesterol. There should be no reason to worry if he is taking the medication, as long as he is seeing a doctor for his cholesterol.
