Answer by  SandyG (807)

The SAGES-2 tests are used by schools to identify gifted and talented students that are in grade 8 or younger. The tests measure skills in the areas of reasoning, language, social studies, mathematics, and science. These tests are scientifically evaluated and highly reliable. Children who do well may be offered advanced classes that are more interesting for the student.

The Screening Assessment for Gifted Elementary and Middle School Students, 2nd edition (SAGES-2) evaluates academic and reasoning skills to identify gifted students 5-14 years old. There are three parts to the testing: a reasoning test that focuses on problem-solving, and tests in mathematics/science and language arts/social studies that assess achievement.
