In Hinduism, your soul is immortal but your body is not. They believe a soul has to live through many lives to gain experience to achieve perfection. After many births the soul increases its desire for spiritual experience, and when they realize that the true self is their soul, not the body, they will escape the reincarnation cycle, becoming liberated.

In Hinduism, the followers believe that the soul continues on after death, and goes from body to body. In addition, they also believe that the soul will go through many bodies, trying to find the perfect one. Eventually the soul will find the source body, and it will achieve perfection, becoming one with the divine.

Reincarnation is a core belief in Hindiusm. It states that the cycle from birth to death to birth is continous. When the person dies there soul (called atman) is transformed into the body of a different newborn individual. In this sense the soul is immortal while the body is subject to birth and death

Hinduism believe that the body dies but the soul is immortal. Reincarnation continues until the person attains enlightenment and joins with the universe. Based upon the deeds of one's life, one may be reincarnated down as an animal, or as a higher status person if they did well.
