The incubation period of a tortoise varies depending on the specie of tortoise. For example, a desert tortoise egg takes between 85 and 90 days. Most tortoise take about that time, but certain more exotic specials can take up to 6 months to hatch. In average a tortoise would take about 70 to 100 days to hatch.

The normal incubation period for a tortoise is about 90 - 120 days long. That is also for turtles. If the incubation is complete, normally 4 - 8 eggs will be given off. Tortoises usually live for approximately 80 - 100 years. The birth interval is usually 2 - 3 years long.

Between 8 and 11 weeks. Temperature is a big factor here, too low and it takes longer, too high and it takes less, improper temp can result in deformity.

The incubation period varies dependent on the type of tortoise and environmental factors such as outside temperature. The normal incubation period lasts anywhere from two months to four months. The incubation period only applies if the eggs are not submerged, however. If the eggs are placed underwater, they will not hatch.

Most common turtle can be either Snapping turtle or Painted turtle. Typical incubation period for Painted averages 76 days, but ranges wildly around that number. Snappers run 50-60 days, but can go a lot longer in some situations. NEITHER will hatch if laid in water. Regardless of method chosen, temperature is the most important factor.
