A six month old baby who is only breast fed should have more watery, runny, yellowish, seedy stools. They will always have a yellow color and a seedy texture. Each stool should be at least the size of a quarter to count as a full bowel movement. As other foods are introduced, it will change.

A breast fed baby usually has light colored stools that are yellowish to almost orange. The stool isn't soft but yet it isn't real firm either. There shouldn.t be much odor.

With breast fed babies, the stools are more watery and frequent than those who are on exclusive formula diets. Typically, it is a light brown in color and very soft to watery.
