The idea that how you live today affects the circumstances of your next life. In the Buddhist tradition there is no such thing as "instant Karma", but how well you live the life you have now impacts where you start in the wheel of life in the next life.

Karma is the concept of your present thoughts, actions, and attitudes influencing, either positively or negatively, your future situation. It is the conceptual embodiment of the phrase 'do unto others as you would have them do to you'.

Karma is the idea that what goes around comes around. An example would be if you treated someone poorly and the next day something negative in your life happens.
