You have to install wall brackets over the area in which you want. Then install a wall shelf. Then you can place the microwave there.

You will first need to purchase a mounting kit from your local hardware store, or Wal-Mart. Mounting a microwave is fairly easy and can be done by beginners. The kit will have a bracket with screws that you will install into your wall. Remember to measure the area above the stove to insure the correct size kit is purchased.

This may be a very simple process but then again it may be difficult depending on the set up you have going on in your house to begin with. If there is already a spot where one should be mounted and the correct wiring than it is a simple matter of plugging it in.

You need a template so you know where to drill the holes for the cord, mounting plate and the mounting screws. Also you will need an extra persons to help hold the unit up while you screw the unit in from the top. An electrical outlet is also needed to plug the unit in.

Well, if you want to mount it over the stove, you are going to have to get the necessary wall brackets and install those accordingly. But the problem is, if you mount it over a stove, you have to realize its going to get in the way of cooling fan.

We just did this, but we bought a microwave designed to be above the stove - it has a vent similar to a range hood integrated into the bottom. The weight is supported on metal brackets screwed into the drywall studs and by screws into the cabinet above. Surprisingly easy!

You are going to want to make sure you have a stud right behind the wall that you are going to mount the microwave. If you have cubboards above the microwave it will work even better because you can support it from both sides.

If possible, the microwave should not be mounted over the stove. When mounting over the stove, it`s best to check if the mounting system is fit for that type of appliance.

You need to have a very secured installation of a material that will not reach any heat on the microwave oven since its on the top of the stove, which is not a normal installation.

Some decent carpantry skills are involved if you have the space already ready then its not that bad. If its not get ready for a weekend project!
