In short, a loadbearing wall needs support to maintain the structure. The easiest way to ensure a structure keeps this support when installing a door is to increase the number or size of boards on both sides of the door along with an increase in the header above the door.

You'll need to remove drywall, reroute electrical. You'll have to remove/cut the stucco/siding from the outside. You'll have to add supports for the wall as you remove the regular studs, then add new king studs, jack studs, header and cripple studs. You'll need new sheathing/moisture barrier, replace and refinish the drywall inside and the exterior wall.

Installing a load bearing wall is almost as easy as installing a regular wall. They look the same except a load bearing walls holds more weight. They are great to have in the home because they are more sturdy.

If there is all ready a door there it is not a problem to replace because the header is all ready there unless you are putting a wider door in.

You can get your door anywhere in general, because the door is smaller than the wall and not so great a task. But you have to look where the wall is thinner and put it there. The best solution is to study plans for the house, and then install door. And then to call a plumber to fix the door.
