There is such a huge variety of Hops Plants. Which one do you plan to grow? Do a little research so that you can grow and then brew what you really want to! I like the nugget hops - they're my favorite type.

Where do you stay? I heard these plants grow mainly in the temperate zones (20th to 50th parallels) They may not grow well in very cold or very hot climates.

You'll need to plant them in early spring when there is no risk of frost to get the best results. As the Hops produce quite a lot of hops which can be heavy you SHOULD make sure that your structure on which it grows is pretty strong.

I find they grow well on wires or similar stuff on fences or wall - just a suggestion.  add a comment

Just my 2 cents - be very careful when you trim them and when you water them Trimming helps them grow better if done judiciously. And make sure you don't water them too much - regular watering is very important in the first few months.

Hops like lots of sun. hops grow vertically like a vine so be sure there is something for them to climb on.
