'Cook-chill' is a method used by large restaurants and other food preparing establishments. It's when large amounts of food is cooked and then chilled rapidly to be reheated later on. It saves a lot of time. The food is made into portions before it's chilled. You will be doing a lot of that if you work for a hospital, etc.

The Cook-Chill process is where food is made in advance, then portioned into smaller sizes. Afterward it is chilled to freezing. The food is stored and then reheated as necessary.
