An ionizer is a device that is used to purify the air. It uses a high voltage current to charge ions. Negative charged ions attach to positive molecules such as dust, bacteria and allergens and they then either fall to the ground or are pulled into the ionizer.

It is a device that ionizes molecules by adding or removing a charged particle. They're often used to 'purify' air. They remove particles through a process similar to static electricity.

Theres two different kinds of ionizers. Air and water ionizers. The both electrically charge either water or air. Thats what ionize means, to electrically charge.

An ionizer produces negative charged ions that are attracted to positive charged dust and smoke particles. When the ions attach to dust and smoke particles floating in the air, they become heavy and drop to the floor where they can be vacuumed up.
