Most cars come with a radio installed by the manufacturer. This is a "Stock" radio. Aftermarked only refers to those radios bought from a store and installed later.

When you replace the "standard" audio system of your vehicle with a store bought upgrade, it's considered an "aftermarket radio", or "aftermarket CD player". If you're considering replacing the unit that came standard with your vehicle, it's strongly suggested that you have a professional installer do the work.
