Yes you can. It would be similar to keeping salt water fish only much smaller a habitat. You can buy a kit at any pet or aquarium store. It is a little bit expensive but easy to maintain.

yes you can keep them at home as long as you live near a place that carries salt water, as you would need to change the water weekly. they live in corral reef and in salt water. if you use salt water moss, this would be good for the habitat and help the hermit crab out.
