When appropriate, use a casual salutation, such as "Hey, Michelle!", or if not, use the formal, "Dear...". Mention each separate gift as well as how you plan to use them. (If you have no plans, make one up). End with a personal well wish, such as "Good luck with the new job", and sign it with pen.

Thank should be short and mention the specific gift, and praise it as useful, beautiful, thoughtful, fun, or some other trait. Thanks for their attendance or good wishes are appreciated.

Be simple, sincere, and specific. Refer to the gift and why it pleases you. If you don't like the gift, at least you can thank the giver for being thoughtful.

The best thing to do is to try to make it as personal. I suggest handwriting the notes. You could start out with Dear (followed by the name/s of the giver/s), thank you for (followed by whatever gift they gave you). It'd be nice to also include something like, it makes a great addition to my kitchen or whatever's applicable.
