Unless you can get it for free, don't waste your money on that throw away car. Do yourself a big favor, stop looking at foreign cars & get yourself an American made vehicle so we taxpayers won't have to bail out another automaker any time soon. Maybe my great grandchildren will have our national debt paid off before they die.

A used cars value depends on the trim level, options and condition. A base trim 1997 Nissan Sentra in decent condition with low miles maybe be worth only $1500, while a top of the line Sentra in excellent condition and low miles may be worth $3000. The trade in value will be lower, while the dealer retail value higher.

If it is in excellent condition and has low mileage, a good price to pay would be $2,200. If it is in good condition, it should be about $1,800. If it is in fair condition it should be priced about $1,500. The price also depends on the options in the car.

If it has over 100k miles than anywhere from $2000-$3000. If it is lower than that it can cost around $3000-$5000.
