The best way to get a fair car price estimate is to start with the blue book value of that car by searching online for it. Once you've done that, check on Craigslist, Ebay, and local dealers to see whether that you can find any areas where the value can be brought down from that blue book value.

I would recommend two places. First, check with your local Carmax. They will give you an estimate to purchase your car. Second, review recent sales of your car on ebay.

Well there are a few guides currently available to give you a fair price for an automobile. They are used by car lots and banks as a guide on how much to pay for them. The two most popular of these are Kelly's Blue Book and the N. A. D. A. Guide. Check their websites for info.

Normally, taking your car to the dealer for work and maintenance will always be advised because you know that the proper parts including lubrication for your model will be installed at a reasonable price.
