Grow your hair out, the weight of it will pull out some of the curl. Use several products in your hair before styling, use a good curl shampoo and creame rinse like Panteen curls, use 2 to 3 products, try TRESemme'anti-sponge, and Sunsilk captivating curls leave in products.

i always liked curly hair.. you could tie back parts of it. like a small section off the top, just pin it back, or a pony tail, but end all just keep it curly and natural.. i think thats the prettiest thing.

You are in luck these days. Women's hairstyles have never been more natural and variable. Go to a good stylist and get it cut relatively short. The natural body your hair has will work with any short cut.

For short hair, a shag style (cut into many layers) that reaches the jawline is a good option. For a less dramatic look, medium length hair with a moderate amount of layering, especially in the front, will make it easier to control. Avoid very long styles unless you are willing to spend a lot of time on your hair.

Thick wiry hair gets tangled very easily, so it is very difficult to brush or comb the hair. Cutting thick hair to a short length can make the hair look very puffy.

I have a similar hair type, and would suggest a cut that gives layers to more evenly distribute the thickness or your hair. I use a medium barrel curling iron to redirect the curls and give them a softer, less frizzy look. Divide your hair into sections and wrap the sections around the curling iron from root to tip.
