There are many natural anxiety medications on the market for dogs. Also there are prescriptions the vet can give your dog. Most dogs suffer from anxiety at some point. It's important to work closely with your vet while the dog is on this medicine. Sometimes along with medication his behavior needs modified.

The very best thing you can do for that is give the dog a lot of time and training from the owner usually what causes the dog to have anxiety is separation from the owner because the dog isn't figuring out that the owner will always return to it.

The best way to medicate anxiety in dogs is to purchase a doggy Pheromone Plug in. These are made to be plugged in near your dogs crate. They release a scent that is completely unnoticeable to humans but to dogs it recreates the scent of safety and being with his or her mother.

There is a great natural remedy for dogs call Bach's Rescue Remedy. It's all natural, made from various herbs and runs around $30 a bottle. It only take a few drops depending on the weight of your dog. It contains alcohol so use it sparingly. A few of my clients use it before their appointments. I'm a dog groomer.

We have used benadryl for our dogs as an anti anxiety medicine. This was suggested to us by our veterinarian.I would still check with your vet before giving to pet.

For any medicine that you are going to give to your animal it is important to first consult a vet. Animals tend to be sensitive and the wrong medicine can be very dangerous.
