What is a "Chilton's manual?"

My friend keeps telling me I need one to work on my car.

Chilton produces manuals for specific cars (make, model, and year; (usually grouping models within about a decade or so.) You get things like wiring charts, exploded views, and troubleshooting guides.

A Chilton's manual is a book that provides information on how to fix nearly everything on a car. Chilton's are only for specific models and years of cars, so make sure you check that you're buying the right one!

There is a Chilton's Manual for every make of car. If you work on your car, then I would go to the library and get one. Buy if necessary.

Their are a series of auto repair manuels. Their written according to model years and also according to specific makes of autos, trucks, and motorcycles.

It is a length series of auto repair books. The books have been around for quite awhile. Their are published each year and are geared to model years. I have found them to be very easy to follow and have saved me thousands of dollars in repair cost. The only problem is the paper used to print them, easily torn
