If you have a standard keyboard, take a look at the lower right-hand side and you'll see your number pad. Ten key typing refers typing the ten keys (0 - 9) with the right hand only. You'll notice the 5 key has a blip for the middle finger position.

The ten-key pad is the number pad usually found on the right side of your computer keyboard. You need to learn to center your three middle fingers on the 4, 5, and 6 then be able to add or subtract a list of numbers without looking at your fingers.

10-key typing is when you enter number using the numerical keypad on the far right of your keyboard. many data entry jobs for financial and insurance type jobs use this method of typing often. It is much simpler to type numbers with speed when they are grouped together as opposed to the traditional number keys positioned directly over the letters.

That is standard typing, that is where you put your hand on the home row. It is just another name for the same thing. There are ten keys in the home row. a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,;, that is what they mean and if you know how to type I think you are good to go.
