There are private and group trips originating from most towns along the coast. The Sea of Cortez is in Baja. You can sail, swim, snorkel. Rough seas when windy. Quiet beaches, fishing. There are sailing schools for inexperienced sailors. Temperatures stay near a pleasant 80F. Whale watching. Lots of places to dock and enjoy the surrounding towns.

The Sea of Cortez located near San Carlos, Mexico has guided tours on sailboats. One in particular offers a ride on an average sized sailboat along with a tour guide. You must make your on travel arrangements.

I recommend sailing during Mexico's mild winter. There are many great charter sailing trips, which are reasonably priced, find one with a good reputation. Don't forget your snorkel gear! Also, stop by The Pavillion Restaurant for their great shrimp and crab!

I can tell you that in 1940 John Steinback went on a voyage in the Sea of Cortez. I have always heard it is a rough sea to go sailing in.
