Xanax is a benzodiazepine and can be habit forming and sedating so should not be combined with methadone or taken by anyone with a history of addiction without careful medical supervision and/or dose modification. Xanax purchased over the internet can be dangerously contaminated.

It is not particularly dangerous so long as you strictly follow the directions of your doctor while taking these drugs. Xanax makes methadone more effective so henceforth they tend to go hand in hand, however I would not deviate from taking the two of them together or start taking them together without consulting a physician.

Mixing those substance could cause the death. Due to Xanax and Methadone are sedatives, it could stop your breath without you giving notice and you could die.

Combining Methadone and Xanax is very dangerous, people die from doing this all the time. When you combine the two drugs they suppress your central nervous system and breathing can stop. Because Xanax is a sedative you will get drowsy and probably fall asleep, then while you're asleep your breathing can stop and death can occur.
