What happens when a police officer files a false crash report?

The accident is removed from your record if you prove to the officer that no crash occured which can be done easily by showing that you're vehicle has no damage.

If it can be proven that it was false, he will be investigated and disciplinary action could be taken. If it is fraudulent, he could face criminal charges.

That police office would be in jeopardy of losing his job. He could even serve jail time just like a civilian would.

They can be charged both criminally (obstruct justice), and under the Police Services Act (numerous offences for such an incident).
