The breast does not do many functions so the most obvious thing will be that the cancer cells also attack other areas, like the bone, and cause pain. The cancer cells will also attack other organs in the body and cause them to fail, like the liver or the kidneys. This stage and type of cancer tends to be painful.

Breast cancer ranges from Stage 0 to IV, with III and IV being the late stages. In these stages the cancer is invasive, and usually spreads to other structures/body parts.
