Selena Perez was killed in March of 1995. She was 23 at the time An obsessed fan named Yolanda Saldivar was responsible for her murder. Actress Jennifer Lopez portrayed her in the 1997 movie Selena.

She was shot in the back on March 31, 1995 by Yolanda Saldivar, who at the time was president of Selena's fan club. The shooting happened at a hotel and Selena died later that day at a hospital due to extreme blood loss.

Selena was shot by the manager of her fan club. The manager's name was Yolanda. Yolanda had been stealing money from Selena and her fan club. When Selena confronted Yolanda about it, she shot and killed her. She was rushed to the hospital but was announced dead on arrival. There is a movie done about her named "Selena".

i watched her biographical film which starred jennifer lopez. selena perez was a singer trained by her father( a musician also) at a young age together with her siblings they formed a band.so later in life she became famous and dated chris perez who joined their band as a guitarist. she was allegedly murdered by yolanda saldivar.
