Apples to Apples and other group party games are great for goups of chatty young adults, another possibility is a game of tag involving any board game with four or more players with a team of young people behind each seat rather than just one player. This can be done relay or elimination style.

Board games are good for a sweet sixteen. Usually games like 'Gestures' are fun because you have to use your body and imagination to play.

You do not want to anything too childlike so no pin the tail on the donkey or anything like that. I would suggest doing a scavenger hunt at the mall. All sixteen year olds love the mall. Make a list of things you would find at the mall and give each teen a copy of the list and a time limit.
