"LDS" is an abbreviation for Latter Day-Saints. It has much in common with the Mormon church. However they Changed their name after the Mormon church recieved some poor press, and a poor out look on the religion. The church of Latter Day Saints is committed to modesty and a "happy home" They do not focus on sin.

The defenition of LDS is "Latter Day Saint". Another word for it is 'Mormon'. It is the official name of Church of Jesus Christ.
