Ritalin is a stimulant drug used to treat children and adults who have been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. Brain neurons in people with ADD/ADHD do not work correctly. Ritalin speeds processes allowing the person to focus, thus calming them and channeling energy.

Ritalin is a prescription medication used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a stimulant, but in people with ADHD, it has the peridoxial effect of calming everything down so they can think clearly and process the world around them better.

Ritalin is actually an amphetamin(not sure of spelling). But in normal people it actually revs and speeds them up, it is an upper. But with persons with add or adhd that are allready revved up, it actually slows them down.
