What does "pliable" mean?

What do they mean when they call people pliable?

Pliable means easily bent or shaped. When it refers to people it is used to imply that someone is either easily led, or adaptable (in mind or character). It can be used as a positive attribute or a negative one.

Pliable means that something is easily bent out of shape so that it can be turned into another shape. Someone being pliable means that other people can easily persuade them to change their beliefs or actions.
