It lists a lot of the reassurances and promises that are contained in the Bible and shows how the singer has trouble sometimes holding on to his childlike faith.

The chorus is "...would follow and believe with faith like a child." Faith of a child is pure, simple and innocent. Lyrics tell us that you can throw away all those complex faith thoughts that will mislead, but find the true way by having faith in GOD like a child.
