Nine times out of ten, when a guy says he needs space or time, what he really means is space and time away from you. If he wanted to be with you, he would. Unless there is some situation in his past that you are aware of, he is probably going to break up with you soon.

He might be wanting to break up and not have the courage to say so, or perhaps he really does just need space. No one likes to feel smothered, so if you're calling/emailing/texting him a lot, respect his space and ease up. If this isn't the case, I suggest you come right out and ask him.

What you suspected is most likely. Either he might have found a new girl friend or he may require some more time to arrive at a decision. Think positively and things will come on your way. Just sit alone and think the possible reason for his decision and try to correct it and approach him accordingly.

that you need to back off for a while. stop texting him all the time. Stop lurking around corners. Your smothering him, he needs room to breathe.

At a minimum, you boyfriend is having doubts about your relationship. This may also be an implicit attempt to break up with you. Treat yourself well in the meantime.
