Brushed chrome, a finish on items like faucets and light fixtures, is silver but with a dull finish. It looks as if the silver was sanded gently and smoothed out. It's not as bright as a silver finish, great when you don't want the shiny metal surface showing when decorating.

Brushed chrome looks like metal surface that is not reflecting like a mirror, so it is not glowing. This effect is achieved by sandblasting surface, which is opposite from polishing.
