From the cradle was a outstanding blues album. It was recorded 'Old School' Meaning only a minimal amount of the recording technology available in 1994 was used. Most of the tracks where done start to finish with NO OVERDUBBING ! This is unheard of in a contemporary recording.

From the cradle is an album where Eric Clapton covers various blues songs. It is a good example of the blues because he is playing traditional blues songs.
