It depends on the level of Spanish you wish to teach. To teach high school, you generally need to be certified with a Master's in Secondary Education and get training. For college, you generally need a Master's at the least to teach for the long term.

Attend a four-year college where you can receive your bachelor's degree in teaching. While in school, take foreign language classes and ESL (English as a Second Language) teaching courses.

You have to first become a certified instructor, which means a college degree and teaching certificate. You will have to choose foreign language as your teachingmajor and your licensing specialty.

Obviously be fluent in Spanish. If you want to be a 2nd language teacher you could do a Spanish equivalent to the English TEFL course. To be a language teacher in a Primary or Secondary school you will need a University degree in teaching and study Spanish up to degree level.
